Maqsad ("the App") is a productivity application developed by PrincipiaForge ("we," "us," or "our"). This policy explains what data the App handles, how third-party services are used, and your rights regarding your information.
1. Data We Collect
We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to our own servers. All your tasks, categories, focus sessions, analytics, and preferences are stored locally on your device.
2. Third-Party Services
The App integrates the following third-party services that may process data according to their own privacy policies:
2.1 Firebase Crashlytics (Google)
Used to collect anonymous crash reports so we can identify and fix bugs. Crashlytics automatically collects device information (model, OS version) and crash stack traces. No personally identifiable information is collected.
2.2 Google Drive API
If you choose to sign in with your Google account, the App can back up your data to a hidden app-specific folder in your Google Drive. This backup is initiated and controlled entirely by you. We do not have access to your Google Drive files. The App uses the drive.appdata scope, which limits access to the App's own hidden folder only.
2.3 Google Calendar API
If you enable calendar sync, the App can read and write events to your Google Calendar to synchronize your tasks with calendar events. This feature requires explicit consent and can be disabled at any time in Settings.
2.4 RevenueCat
Used to manage in-app subscriptions. RevenueCat processes purchase transactions through Google Play and may collect an anonymous user identifier and purchase history. No personal information beyond what Google Play provides is shared.
3. Data Storage
All app data is stored locally on your device using an on-device database. If you choose to use the backup feature, a copy of your data is stored in your personal Google Drive account in a hidden app folder. We never have access to this data.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or share your data with any third parties. The only data transfers that occur are those you explicitly initiate (Google Drive backup, Google Calendar sync) between the App and your own Google account.
5. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any data from children.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
