1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using Maqsad ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App. The App is published by PrincipiaForge ("we," "us," or "our").
2. Description of Service
Maqsad is a productivity application that provides task management, Pomodoro focus timer, reminders, analytics, and related features. The App is available as a free version with optional paid upgrades ("Maqsad Pro").
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. If you are under 18, you confirm that you have obtained consent from a parent or legal guardian to use the App and agree to these Terms.
4. User Accounts and Google Sign-In
Certain features of the App, such as backup and calendar sync, require you to sign in with a Google account. When you sign in, you authorize the App to access the following Google services on your behalf:
- Google Drive (app-specific data only) — to back up and restore your task data to your personal Google Drive. The App can only access its own data folder; it cannot read or modify any other files on your Drive.
- Google Calendar (events) — to sync your tasks as calendar events, allowing you to view tasks alongside your existing schedule. The App creates, updates, and deletes events only for tasks managed within Maqsad.
You can revoke these permissions at any time by signing out of the App or revoking access through your Google Account settings.
5. Maqsad Pro — Subscriptions and Purchases
Maqsad Pro unlocks additional features including Google Calendar sync, Google Drive backup, focus sounds, all color themes, unlimited reminders with alarm mode, and full analytics.
Maqsad Pro is available as:
- Monthly subscription
- Yearly subscription
- Lifetime one-time purchase
Monthly and yearly subscriptions include a 7-day free trial for new subscribers. Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through Google Play Store settings.
All purchases are processed by Google Play. Refund requests are subject to Google Play's refund policies.
6. User Data and Content
All tasks, categories, notes, focus sessions, and other content you create within the App ("User Content") are stored locally on your device. If you enable backup, your User Content is also stored in your personal Google Drive account.
You retain full ownership of your User Content. We do not access, collect, or store your User Content on our servers.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App.
- Use the App in any manner that could damage, disable, or impair the service.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any systems or networks connected to the App.
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose.
8. Intellectual Property
The App, including its design, code, graphics, icons, and branding, is the intellectual property of PrincipiaForge and is protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to use our trademarks, logos, or branding.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. You use the App at your own risk.
We are not responsible for any data loss resulting from device failure, App uninstallation, or issues with third-party services such as Google Drive or Google Calendar.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, PrincipiaForge shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of productivity, or loss of profits, arising out of or related to your use of the App.
11. Third-Party Services
The App integrates with third-party services including Google Sign-In, Google Drive, Google Calendar, Firebase (for crash reporting and analytics), and RevenueCat (for subscription management). Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the availability or conduct of third-party services.
12. Changes to the App
We may update, modify, or discontinue features of the App at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to preserve your data when making changes, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access to any specific feature.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated Terms will be posted at this URL with a revised effective date. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
14. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the App if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your locally stored data remains on your device; any data backed up to Google Drive remains in your Google account.
15. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Uzbekistan, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
