1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using YouScore ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App. The App is published by PrincipiaForge ("we," "us," or "our").
2. Description of Service
YouScore is a study aid for people preparing for the IELTS test. It provides an overall band-score calculator, a practice-test journal, progress insights, goal-setting, plain-language band descriptions, and optional on-device reminders. The App is free, works offline, and does not require an account.
3. Not Affiliated — Estimates Only
YouScore is an independent, unofficial study aid. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to IELTS, the British Council, IDP: IELTS Australia, or Cambridge English. "IELTS" and related names are trademarks of their respective owners and are used in the App only to describe what the App helps you prepare for.
Any band scores, raw-score conversions, and criteria estimates the App produces are indicative estimates to help you track your own progress — not official results and not a prediction of your official IELTS score. Official band scores are determined solely by the official test providers, and conversion thresholds are set per test version and may vary. You should not rely on the App's figures as an official assessment.
4. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. If you are under 18, you confirm that you have obtained consent from a parent or legal guardian to use the App and agree to these Terms.
5. No Account; Your Data
YouScore does not use accounts or sign-in. All content you create in the App — practice-test scores, goals, your exam date, notes, and settings ("User Content") — is stored locally on your device. You retain full ownership of your User Content. We do not access, collect, or store it on any server. You are responsible for your own device backups; uninstalling the App permanently removes its data from your device.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App, except to the extent permitted by applicable law.
- Use the App in any manner that could damage, disable, or impair the service.
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose.
7. Intellectual Property
The App, including its design, code, graphics, icons, and branding, is the intellectual property of PrincipiaForge and is protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to use our trademarks, logos, or branding. Third-party names referenced in the App remain the property of their respective owners.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranty of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App or any score, estimate, or conversion it produces is accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular decision. You use the App at your own risk.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, PrincipiaForge shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data or decisions made in reliance on the App's estimates, arising out of or related to your use of the App.
10. Changes to the App
We may update, modify, or discontinue features of the App at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to preserve your on-device data across updates but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access to any specific feature.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated Terms will be posted at this URL with a revised effective date. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
12. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the App if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your locally stored data remains on your device until you delete it.
13. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Uzbekistan, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
